You’ve agreed to host to a Facebook party! Wahoo! Congrats this is going to be fun!!
Now what? This part is very important. Personally message your friends and ask them if they would like to be invited. Yes this can be scary! Will it kill you, I guarantee it won’t. I would never ask a hostess to do something that I myself wouldn’t do. In fact I have done this many times and almost everyone says yes you can invite me. This step is very important because your guests have to want to be there. They don’t want to just be spammed while looking at videos of cats and their friends babies. They should also be real friends. If you don’t talk to them on a regular basis or if you would cross the street so you don’t have to talk to them, those are not your real friends. They can be people you’ve met online if you have a connection with them and you message about real stuff.
So now that we’ve defined friends lets talk about how many. I would say no more than 50. Would you invite 275 people to your house to come to a party? If you would you might be more fun then me.
After you’ve found out who wants to come and you have officially invited them to the event page it is also so important that you participate in your party! Again think of a Facebook party being similar to a home party. You wouldn’t invite your friends to your house and then leave or go take a nap.
So how do you participate? Like the posts the consultant makes. Share pictures of your products as well as your wishlist. Comment on the posts, you may not realize it but even if your friends clicked that they were attending they may not be seeing all the posts. If you comment on them it will at least pop up in their newsfeed. Also when posts have comments they are shown to more people, just the way Facebook works. You can also tag your friends if there is a post that might interest them. Again we need to make it easy for your guests to see the posts and want to shop.
Sometime during the party it would be nice if you thanked your guests for attending, the ones that picked that they were attending and send them a link to your party for ordering. Not to be pushy here but just send it once so they have it easy.
And the main thing is have fun!! If you agreed to have a party you must love the products so have some fun hanging out with your friends online.
