This is my story! I’m a mom! I love it! I used to be a manager in a public accounting firm. This was such a huge part of my identity. I was spoiled immensely with lavish office parties and I had the best coworkers. However I had kids and this changed.
My first son is very spirited and sensitive. Daycare was very hard for him. In fact it was so hard that he was kicked out of two daycares in six months.
So we decided for my son it would be best for me to stay home with him. Then we had our daughter. Don’t get me wrong I love being with them all the time. Love playing kitchen and cars and reading tons of books but my adult friend time was a little lacking.
I lost a part of myself. I joined direct sales to meet some new friends because its kind of lonely just being with babies and toddlers some days. And to feel like I was achieving something in my career as I may have been told a few times before that maybe I’m a bit of an achiever.
Joining Thirtyone has been the best for my self-esteem. I once again feel like I’m contributing to our household financially and of course I love all the recognition, praise and awards that I have been getting. I have the best new friends, some that I can’t wait to meet in real life on the company cruise I earned for doing something I love so much. I cherish all the people that have came into my life as customers.
So if you are surrounded by little ones all day long and you feel like you lost part of yourself maybe you should look closer at joining a direct sales company. Or if you need a way to make extra money while being with your family its a great solution.Michelle
